Education is everything. It's hard to imagine that aging will be significantly slowed down without an army of new specialists.
The first step is to create a gold standard, that is, an ideal lecture. And then— an instructions on how to make such a lecture.
A 1000 hour-long lectures on YouTube. A massive educational program will affect investors, politicians, and schoolchildren who make their choice. As many people as possible should be able to understand how aging works. Students, doctors, scientists from related disciplines, from computer science, should have access to a detailed description of the fundamental mechanisms of aging and longevity.
How the work of the genome, macromolecules, cells, all organelles, including mitochondria, intercellular signaling, intercellular matrix, tissues and organs, changes. What do we know about the evolution of life expectancy? What are the differences between aging of different types of cells, tissues, species?
1000 lectures are not that a lot, and they should be there. We might need to create one lecture first, use it to raise money for two more, and so on.
